Profile and Philosophy
I am a watercolor artist. My media is watercolors and watermedia paints exclusively. I paint on 140# and 300# cold press arches watercolor paper and my paintings range from a 1/4 sheet to a full sheet in size. My paintings are scenes depicting life as I see it in my surroundings. I love the impulsiveness of the medium, spontaneous, rash, uninhibited, reckless, hasty, passionate, and impulsive - all of which is a beauty to me. My paintings have their own life and energy, and my challenge is to work in tandem with the medium. My goal is to bring into focus those things in life people don't really take the time to see. I tell stories with my paintings. I enjoy the tension created by the looseness and tightness in a single painting. Both my Mother and Grandmother were accomplished artist landscape.

Watercolor Lessons
I teach beginner watercolor classes one on one in a casual non pressured environment. My Curriculum includes the introduction to materials, the introduction of sketching, introduction to compositions, and the basics of watercolor painting. A class will be 2 to 4 hours and will include completing one painting. Subjects include historic buildings, historic homes, cityscapes, trolleys, trains and landscapes. Fee includes all materials.
